Intentional Conscious Human Communities In another post, we established that all seven billion of us would all fit on New Zealand... But very snugly. New Zealands amazing and rugged beauty we all know and love from a popular series of movies would, however, cease to exist... We could, however, design a series of regional mega communities across the globe, and honor our Mother Earth by letting nature retake the rest of the Earth, and heal itself from our foolish experiment with world domination, which most of us have been too asleep at the wheel to end until recently. Utilizing areas that are already relatively flat, mostly deforested, and easily developed, we could create regional city-states, each about the size of New Zealand, all with the same core principles and crowd-sourced rules the people of the world can all agree upon. With high speed rail between these areas and highly efficient and well-designed public transportation within them, our energy needs for transportation would be cut drastically. Each with its own energy generation capacity, food supply chain, and production plants for necessities for all, each community would be self-sufficient and independent, yet connected with fibre backbones for communication globally. This would eliminate most of our distribution issues, many waste, packaging, and overhead costs, private transportation needs, and resource overuse. A goal of zero waste could be our ultimate challenge. These communities could be designed and built from the ground up, providing technology, architecture, construction, engineering, and research jobs for decades to come, investing in our present while building a better future. They would be best built in well chosen areas away from fault lines, with natural disasters in mind... Build them to withstand hurricanes, heavy snowfall, earthquakes, tornadoes, flooding... We never know how much we have caused the climate to shift and change... Build them on bedrock and on higher ground. Designed with organic permaculture, food forests, aquaculture, and rainwater collection, management, and filtration into the infrastructure; using only composting toilets and developing a human waste & composting system to serve the entire community; the drinking water, greywater, and human waste would never come in contact with one another. Human and pet waste becomes fertilizer; urine and greywater are filtered and used in irrigation of grow houses and co-planted permaculture growing beds. Rainwater collection could run hydro power turbines, taller buildings could be designed with integrated wind turbines and photovoltaic electric and solar thermal mass collectors. The electricity generated could be stored in new hemp polymer battery technology. Outpost communities could then be developed in more remote areas for human enjoyment of nature... Some could even be located in major metropolis areas of today to study natures process of reclamation. Each with high speed rail and air supply lines, both designed to ensure little conflict between habitats and migration routes of wildlife. Experts in outdoor activities and adventure could live year-round in these smaller, but largely self-sufficient outpost communities. Educational programs and research could be conducted and live streamed on their own channels back to the main super- communities over the global fibre-channel backbone network. We have the resources. We have the technology, current and classified. We have the labor force. We have the willpower and determination of an endangered humanity.
