Interdependence: “Everything is Connected” This Sunday, April - TopicsExpress

Interdependence: “Everything is Connected” This Sunday, April 13 Services at 9:15 and 11:15; Discussion at 10:30 As we continue with our Second Sunday Series, we’ll focus this Sunday on the core Unitarian Universalist notion of Interdependence. If you consider much of what we encounter as problematic these days, it often has at its roots the illusion of separateness. Small groups, larger groups, even nations imagine that they can act in some way that is unrelated to the collective wellbeing of all. Individuals and organizations imagine themselves to be independent, able to create and sustain a beneficial life that doesn’t take a larger view of things. We divide life into “us” and “them.” Interdependence is our reminder that life doesn’t really work that way. Our services will invite reflection of the personal and collective implications of our affirmation of Interdependence. Please consider participating in the discussion at 10:30 either in reflection on your experience of the 9:15 service or in anticipation of your attendance at 11:15. We always have participants from both groups. Your presence and contributions in that brief discussion help embody how we really are interrelated.
