Interensting news about production drop-off by Marcellusgas.org: Our analysis shows that production drop-off varies significantly in different areas of the state, with Butler county wells showing the least drop-off (41% over 3 years), and many counties reporting drop-off values as high as 70% to 80%. Its important to recognize that the actual production output of the wells should be considered when comparing the production drop-off between counties. The Butler county (41% drop-off) per-day estimated royalty payments begin at $740.00/day, and drop to $436.00/day after 36 months. Bradford county reports a 65% drop-off rate, but has much higher production rates for its wells, with estimated royalties beginning at $1,886.00/day, and dropping to $651.00/day after 36 months. The per-day values represent total estimated royalties paid out to the entire well unit. We plan to create a state level graph that comparatively portrays the drop-off rate for each county, along with the number of wells sampled for each county value, for an at-a-glance view of how the counties stack up. Estimated per-day royalties are based on 1/8 the value of the most recent at-the-wellhead pricing of $3.35 per Mcf published by the U.S. EIA. No allowance has been made for post-production costs that may be deducted from royalty payments. Our inventory of Drilling Maps for individual wells now contains nearly 13,200 maps - all are available for immediate purchase. Drilling Maps display the highlighted drilling footprint for each permitted well, and include the boundaries for surrounding property parcels, and the parcel names, in plat map format. marcellusgas.org/
