Interested in a career in Foreign Affairs? Ambassador James Gadsden (retired) will be visiting UW-Seattle on Thursday, Oct. 10 during the Scholarship Fair to provide students with two opportunities to learn more about the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Programs and careers within the Foreign Service. (He will also be making trips out to Bothell on Wednesday and Tacoma on Monday.) Please share this information with students in all fields who may be interested. Women, members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and students with financial need are especially encouraged to attend. All are welcome. Thomas R. Pickering Undergraduate & Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowships Information Session: 12:30-1:20pm MGH 171E (inside suite 171) Join Ambassador Gadsden for information about the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Programs, which provide funding to participants as they are prepared academically and professionally to enter the United States Department of State Foreign Service. The Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Programs seek to recruit talented students in academic programs relevant to international affairs, political and economic analysis, administration, management, and science policy. The goal is to attract outstanding students from all ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds who have an interest in pursuing a Foreign Service career in the U.S. Department of State.
