Interested in raising awareness, some funds for charity…and your heart rate??? I am getting in super early to give you PLENTY of time to get prepared 2014 will mark the 20 year anniversary of Marcella’s passing (from Ovarian Cancer), a very good friend on mine’s mother. The Cunningham family are taking on the task of raising as much money as possible for research into this killer. Their whole family will be entering the 2014 Gold Coast Marathon, participating in various levels - the little ones 2-5yrs attacking the 2.5km, right through to Helen smashing the 42kms. The family are asking anyone that would like to run in honour of Marcella to join their cause, and if you can raise a little bit of money along the way BRILLIANT. There’s no minimum amount, even $50 means the Mater researchers are better off. Perhaps get your work mates to sponsor you $1 for every KM you do, something easy like that! I plan on doing the 21kms, so I best start actually getting some serious feet to pavement!!!! If you are interested in participating or would just like to donate, just let me know.
