Interesting...I have often wondered if homework really helps. Multiple research studies say no. I particularly think grading homework for correctness is ridiculous. Punish a kid with a bad grade for having difficulty when attempting to do the work on their own at home? In elementary school especially,we review the kids math if it is graded for correctness so it doesnt hurt their grade. We help teach them how to do it. What good does that for when the teacher sees the end product and it is all correct? They think they knew how to do it. The alternative...dont check it and let their grade suffer because they dont understand it the first time around. The kids cant win in this situation.
