Interesting. Louisiana law is very friendly to tenants. Maybe debtors prison should make a come back. On the other hand, in Baton Rouge a landlord can commit a crime, be sued, fined and jailed for renting to three unrelated persons who get together to share costs to rent a house. Theres a Be Fair Baton Rouge resolution set for July 23 Metro Council meeting intended to protect everyone with a *%$ against discrimination in housing except unrelated young people, who Baton Rouge says it wants to attract but then restricts them to living over the tracks. I just dont get it.
