Interesting article. Im planning on breastfeeding my kid into toddlerhood, even though I know most moms wean at 1 year and start feeding cows milk instead. I scratch my head at that a little. Cows milk is for baby cows. If I still have breast milk and everything is going fine, well just keep nursing. If I want/need to wean for any reason, I might offer her any of the 3 other milks I like to drink--almond, coconut, or soy. But I would personally feel a little weird offering cows milk to straight-up drink. I grew up drinking it. Never occurred to me until I was 20 that its specifically formulated for another species. Which might help explain the results of this study. Late night sleepy time thoughts as my daughter is nursing.
