Interesting article, but there is a biblical reason the human psyche thinks the breast and reproductive organs are to be covered. Because mankind is made in Gods image the natural bears witness to the spiritual. But what does bible have to say about this? After Adam and eve are from the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil, humans became aware of their nakedness. Even though God created us naked, the spiritual truth is that the sin of deception has made us perceive that nakedness is shameful. The womans breast is the source of nourishment for infants. It represents the milk of the word. Without God, this milk does not nourish. The natural manifestation of this is shame, so we need the best covered before feeling comfortable to come out of hiding. God covers our nakedness with animal skins, perhaps the sheepskin of a slain lamb. Similarly, the reproductive organs are whats used to create life. Spiritual life (born again) parallels natural life. Without God, no spiritual life can be produced. The human psyche reflects this dependency upon God thru the shame of our nakedness. Yes, it is Gods love that covers a multitude of sins. Were hiding from God because the fig leaf fruit of human effort is not sufficient to remove the shame of our nakedness. Blood of the perfect lamb must be spilled, before we can be covered with his glory.
