Interesting conversation with some folk today, obeying the 10 commandments wont save you, believing in Jesus is the only way available to us now. None can abide as unto the law, but all may receive the free gift as he has offered us through faith in Him. Choose life, Choose Christ. Even better, serve Him faithfully and earnestly with all you might, even like us, riding your bike! There is no other way, but through the work of the cross, as Jesus said on the cross, It is finished! It is not through works, but through faith, our works merely illustrate and testify to our obedience to Him. Let the word of your testimony be that that speaks the ministry of Jesus, and that of being a disciple. Jesus explained at length the difficulty of salvation of wealthy and devout religious scholars, as they needed to strip away the excess to receive the measure of faith required, to be as a childs mind. Paul also explained to the gentiles not the religious law, but to abstain from immorality and food dedicated to idols, in essence, simplified and keep to the message of salvation in Christ. We need not copy or comply to the religious routines and rituals of old, but focus on the matter of fact for the message of salvation for now. Jesus taught freedom through Him, it has a cost, but its worth it. We need not pretend to be something we are not, but be the person of Christ he has called us to with authenticity.
