Interesting demographic shift at Seneca College this year: The new 1st year Animation students are 3:1 Female:Male. Unexpected and exciting. Admission portfolios are only judged on art quality and education/experience, so its not any kind of imposed choice on our part. When I went to Sheridan in the late 90s I believe there were around 10% women enrolled in the Animation program. Im not sure if this year is an anomaly, but Im thrilled regardless.
