Interesting development at HEB. Their regular 20z sodas, Cola Zero and Doctor B and which are a bargain at 50c, have ditched High Fructose Corn Syrup as a sweetener and gone over to using Pure Cane Sugar. Is this a sign of people being more aware than they used to be and rejecting HFCS products? If so lets see how the publics greater awareness affects decision at Coke and Pepsi - who are more than happy to put poison in our drinks to keep their profits high. Its been proven, HFCS made the USA and later the UK fat. Obesity correlates to Coke and Pepsi replacing sugar with HFCS. Then theres aspertame to worry about in the Diet Sodas. Turn out that in the long-run Cane Sugar may well be less harmful than the alternatives.
