Interesting experience at trader joes tonight: As a 50 something year old employee emerged from the back room the air was suddenly filled with the smell of smoke. And NOT just any smoke, it was pot! He smiled at me with his blood shot eyes and said hi maam! I IMMEDIATELY thought to myself jerk! and what a loser! And then my second thought was why do I care so much? For all I know he could be a very nice man with kids and grand kids. He could be a volunteer on his days off somewhere. Maybe hes part of a local church choir? the point is why did i judge him to be human sludge based on smoking weed? What does it matter to me that hes getting high in the back of trader joes? Its not like hes putting my family in danger or operating machinery. If anything, maybe my groceries get bagged a little faster or hes a bit nicer to me. So whats the big deal? Whats my hang up?! Thoughts....
