Interesting factoid: The element thorium [Th] is more abundant and produces less radioactive waste than uranium and is the easy choice of fuel for nuclear reactors. Why dont we use it? Ill answer my own question if you dont mind, with my educated opinion that is: Uranium is our current primary nuclear fuel, and it has well known and drastic risks involved, not counting the waste containment required for centuries onward. They use uranium because in its reaction process, plutonium-239 is created, which is a key component of nuclear weaponry. Ahhhh... So maybe thats why our scum bag government insists on preventing Iran and North Korea from even attaining civilian nuclear energy.... Strange that they dont explain that on the news, eh? Also the abundance of thorium would start a trend of falling energy prices, And there is no bigger threat to the architects of this greedy system than an abundance of money in the pockets of every day people, Imagine if we paid off the national debt they borrowed for themselves while deferring the debt upon us (The same people who still live in lavish luxurious safety While the middle class shrinks). So its obviously not profitable for the banks to allow such a thing, the resources at their disposal makes them all omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent among our current culture of societies not a single civilization left among us.
