Since they are Pro Climate (Name your word), you will never hear about the true cyclical weather changes caused by the reversal of the temperature of the Pacific ocean current and the Atlantic ocean current. This temperature swap has been going on for eons and recorded history reflects that it cycles approximately every 70-80 years. The east coast Hurricane Long Island Express in 1938, which almost killed actress Katherine Hepburn and her family, was very similar to Hurricane Sandy in 2012 (74 Yrs.), due to the warmer Atlantic current. The droughts we are seeing now are similar to the ones to the one in the west and mid-west in the 30s. The currents are beginning to slowly swap again and, according to research by archeologist and geologists who have tracked this back to prehistoric times, the Pacific will again start warming within the next 10 years, which will, of course, change the weather patterns to producing more snow and rain in the west. It should be remembered that there were no dams on the Colorado River until 78 years ago and the filling had only just started. There are much longer weather and earth tectonic cycles that result in Ice Ages, which we will get regardless of what we humans ever do, The last Ice Age has not even ended yet, and may not. FYI for my fellow Arizonans, there is still an ongoing discussion of whether Arizona has been underwater two to seven time in prehistoric history. Can you imagine Arizona being nothing but a huge swamp with tall trees and plants. Humanoids have only been around for 40-50,000 years, which is not even a milli-micro-second in the history of the earth and if we are around in 40-50,000 more years we can count ourselves as lucky and it will have nothing to do with Climate (Name your word.)!
