Interesting look at gaming for the disabled. My disability is relatively minor in the grand scheme of things - I can use the controller just fine, although of course any games involving full body motion - Wii games, DDR, etc. - are inaccessible to me. Granted, the games I currently love - Skyrim, Bioshock, Fallout, Batman Arkham, Minecraft, etc. are easy as pie for me - put in the disc, press some buttons, beat up some bad guys, save Tamriel, crush the Legion, defeat Deathstroke, etc etc. But plenty of people with a wide variety of disabilities, from seizures (like my sweetie) to paralysation, to MD, to colour blindness, etc. are unable to play games as meant to be played. There are ways to combat that, but game designers are probably unaware of the reality of disabled gamers. Im glad this is getting some attention.
