Interesting piece on 60 Minutes tonight regarding ISIS. Glaringly absent was a stinging criticism of Mr. Obama for allowing a violent Islamic caliphate to crop up and take power under his watch. It indicated that Hillary Clinton and Leon Panetta steered Obama toward arming Syrian rebels early on, which Mr. Obama decided not to do, softly assigning some blame to Obama while painting Clinton and Panetta as having the proper thinking. What would the 60 Minutes piece have looked like if ISIS rose up during a Republican administration? The piece also stepped over Obamas failure to leave any troops in Iraq, which most experts, including Panetta during the program, agree would have been essential to the stability of that country following the war that we spent so much in blood and treasure to win. God bless our troops.
