Interesting read, but I have two problems with it. 1) Kansas is NOT the Jayhawk State. Thats a made-up nickname. Its the Sunflower State. Get it right, national media. 2) Ive always found it interesting that national media paints it as unfathomable that a Democratic candidate for governor could be viable in Kansas. Since 1950, weve had 32 years of Democratic Governors and 32 years of Republican Governors. Additionally, only one Republican Governor of Kansas has won re-election in 50 years.
