Interesting read to reflect on highlighting the story of OUR Walmart member Salomon Fuentes. Excerpt from the article: I felt alone and helpless, he said. Sals turning point came when one of his pregnant coworkers was feeling ill but the manager would not allow her to go home early. Soon, the pregnant employee fell to the ground and someone had to call 911. When management didnt change any of their policies, Sal joined the OUR Walmart campaign to stand up for himself and his coworkers. Sal is proud that he has a job, but understands that it comes with low wages and injustice. I struggle to make it at the end of month, Sal says. I cant save any money. If my daughter gets sick and needs to go to the doctor, I cant afford it. Like if you can relate to Sals struggle.
