Interesting review. Tbh, I see the FJ as less of a competitor to the Hummer and more for the Jeep, but I can see that the FJ is in a niche market. I certainly dont fit into the 4 categories he mentioned, I own mine because my dad found it practical, and so do I. It lasts, it can do stuff, its valuable in many ways, and its just...well good! There are plenty of soccer moms and whatnot, but the same can be said for Hummers and Jeeps..there should be a name for that... Oh yea, Mall Crawler... To be honest, my dad bought the one I own now, to serve as a replacement for his 85 4Runner. He loved it, I love it, so now mine serves as a more emotional beacon, rather than just a vehicle, because I spent much of my life in the passenger seat of it, now I drive it.
