Interesting study. We certainly have seen wages drop or stay dramatically low when teaching & care services are transfered from the public sector to the private sector (for-profit or not). Too often the resources do not follow. Example: literacy teachers wages went down by almost half when the courses were transferred from the community colleges to the not-for-profit sector. Why? The government reduced its funding and asked the communities to raise the balance. Fundraising did not give the expected results.
