Interesting take from James Surowiecki of the New Yorker on current protests across Brazil. For me one of the biggest discrepancies I`ve found in Brazil is what you pay and what you get in terms of value. "So what’s everyone so unhappy about? The core problem is that living conditions haven’t really caught up with the improvements in people’s income. Brazil is an increasingly middle-class country that still has many of the characteristics of a poorer one." Whether it`s government services, imported goods that due to taxes are 2-3 times what you pay anywhere else, or just going out to dinner, you just always feel you`re getting ripped off...
