Interesting thought exercise... My gut reaction is to side with Lex over Joker becoming a hero more naturally. But what would it take to turn over that new leaf? For one, the hero who is set as their focal point would have to be entirely removed from their focus once and for all, probably killed off. Dead, buried and gone. I think if Superman or Batman were finally well and truly out of the picture, youd see Joker or Lex at first celebratory in their triumph... Thered be a period of just living it up, casting off the shackles and really living up to their evil capabilities. But then, the tide would turn. For, even these villains persevere. Even they need something to challenge themselves and feel they have something to achieve. Now, you could say either one might slip into madness as a result of their no longer having something to drive them. And Id think so too. But what would be madness for them? Maybe, throwing themselves into something wholly unexpected. Maybe, taking over the roles they so fought in the past, of their arch-heroes, to prove theyre better at the game than their foes were. Its a thought... *shrug*
