Interesting to learn about the contents of the bottle that just christened the Charles W. Morgan whaling ship that is being launched now in Mystic, Connecticut. The bottle included waters from where she has sailed, including the "North and South Atlantic, the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Water from New Bedford and Mystic will be included to represent her first and current homeports." This 113-foot, 1841 whaler just underwent a $15 million restoration and is being re-launched 172 years to the day of the initial launch with original wood in her keel.
