Interesting weekend to say the least. Had a great weekend, busy for Sure. We would like to welcome Jamie Branton who is our newest driver, great job last night girl. Today certainly had a turn of events which will be remembered by many. As you all know the lift bridge collapsed which makes everything so much more difficult in our business. Effective Monday morning I will be having one taxi based in Dunville and the remaining 3 in Placentia. Hoping this can resolve some of the issues we ran into today/tonight. In order for us to run the cabs for example from freshwater to Placentia, this means we have to use the dirt road. I timed it this evening and it takes 44 minutes. Thats a long run so if you have to go this route please give yourself plenty of time, and us too. Worst part is of course the taxi fare has to be increased. Its a no win situation for any of us. Im not out to rip people off, but its time consuming, driver has to be paid and the wear and tear of vehicle. I did contact a member of the council today and my issues and concerns will be brought up tomorrow morning. Hoping to have answers and a better solution to this mess by mid day.
