Interim Judgement of Delhi High Court stated that University free to make permanent appointment but the (appointments )will be subject to final order of the Court . It is a matter of fact that Unfortunately some sections are deliberately trying to mislead the whole community that the petition is aimed at stopping appointments. The legal case in Delhi HC only demands DoPT (body that formulates rules for GoI) directives on reservation should be followed. The issue here is should GoI (DoPT) directives on reservation should be followed or not. Quoting from the prayer of the petition (W.P 803/2014) that is there in Delhi HC: ---> For an order directing R-1 and the respondent colleges to forthwith abide by the DOPT notifications dated 2.7.97, 23.1.98, 20.7.2000 and 15.7.08 and the UGC Guidelines of 2006 --> For an order directing R-1 and the respondent colleges to forthwith prepare and operate the 200 point post- based roster treating the college/University and not the department / subject as a unit / cadre and treating all the Assistant Professors in the college as a single cadre. --> For an order directing R-2 (UGC) to file a status report college-wise on the failure of R-1 and the respondent colleges to implement the reservation policy of the Government of India as set out in the various notifications, directions and guidelines and to take action in accordance with law.
