If you the necessary skills and competencies, we invite you to apply for the following vacant positions to be based at Madison Finance Company Limited (MFinance) Head Office in Lusaka; Internal Audit Manager • Full grade twelve certificate with a minimum of a credit ¡n Mathematics and English • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university • Chartered Accountant (ACCA), Certified Internal Auditor (CiA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) • Six years of full time experience in internal auding, external auditing, operations, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation, including four years supervisory or project management experience . • Extensive knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practices. • Knowledge of contemporary risk management, control techniques and contemporary control frameworks. • Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices. • Considerable knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. • Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations for improvement. • Knowledge of any accounting or auditing system will be an added advantage. • Must be a team player and be proactive. • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, including effective report writing skills. Key responsibilities • Manages the identification and evaluation of the organization’s audit risk areas and provides significant input to the development of a risk based annual internal audit plan. • Manages the performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures. • Manages Risk Management by implementing the company Risk Register, tracking risks, and partnering With divisional risk implements risk reporting and monitoring standards and practices. • Manages compliance to Bank of Zambia and other statutory regulations as well as company • policies and procedures by undertaking compliance reviews and compliance risk assessment in accordance with the Risk Management Procedure Manuals. • Communicates the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to management and the board of directors. • Represents Risk and Assurance on organizational project teams, at management and board meetings, and with external organizations. • Performs related work as assigned by the Managing Director or Head Risk and Assurance. Key Responsibilities • Perform operational, financial and compliance audits of business operations. • Performs the identification and evaluation of the organization’s risk areas and develops the annual Audit Plan. • Ensure risks are identified by performing strategic risk assessments and determine that they are appropriately controlled and managed by the business. • Develops the overall performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures. • To maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards. • Prepare reports on audit results and provide recommendations to management for review and implementation • Evaluate and communicate financial and internal control best practices in use throughout the company and make recommendations for strengthening internal controls, improving operation, and reducing costs.
