SEOUL—Jehovah’s Witnesses released the revised New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures in Korean during the “Keep Seeking First God’s Kingdom!” International Convention in Seoul, Korea. The event was held in the Seoul World Cup Stadium on September 6-8, 2014. Bibles were made available free of charge to all 56,867 in attendance, as well as to the 59,091 tied-in at satellite locations in Busan, Daejeon, Gwangju, Jeju, Suwon, and Yeosu. In the words of one attendee, Joon-yeong Choi, “The most unforgettable moment of this convention was the release of the revised New World Translation.” The over 56,000 attendees in the stadium enjoy the Bible-based program. Witnesses from Canada, Finland, the Philippines, Poland, and the United States traveled to attend the program in Seoul. Dae-il Hong, a spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Korea, stated: “We worked hard in preparing for this stirring, educational event, and the convention exceeded our expectations.
