International Coordination of Revolutionary Parties & Organizations Asian CCC – Asian Continental Coordinating Committee 28th October 2013 Circular No. 9 Resolution of the Asian Coordination Committee of ICOR The Asian Coordination Committee of ICOR has met in Kathmandu on 27th the 28th of November. The committee took a grave view of the existing situation in Asia. Democratic norms are sought to be subverted and communal, casteist, tribal and other “identities” are sought to be pitted against each other. The people of Asia are involved in a fight for protecting democratic rights fighting against both imperialism and religious fundamentalist forces. We call upon the people to escalate this fight and to fight in the direction of establishing socialism in the various countries here. Nepal still holds a very important place in the world being the only place in the world where the majority of the people support communists. There is grave danger in Nepal of the gains of the democratic struggle being overturned and of the restoration of the monarchy in some form or of the intervention the US or India. We call upon all the people of Asia and of the people of India and Nepal in particular to fight against domestic reactionary forces or foreign interventions to protect the gains of the democratic struggle. The need is to create a constitution which will enshrine the principles of a democratic republic leading to a peoples democratic republic leading to socialism and communism. The situation in Bangladesh is also grave with no elections being declared as yet and with the fundamentalist forces being allowed to freely attack the progressive and socialist forces. Here also there is a grave danger of military intervention with the backing of either the US or India. We call upon the people of Asia – of India and Bangladesh in particular, to fight against any such intervention. The Committee supports the struggle of the people of Rojava in their fight for a Kurdish homeland. We congratulate the Kurdish people on their attempts to establish a peoples democratic regime in this region. We congratulate the people of Asia and of West Asia in particular on their concerted fight to avoid US intervention in this region. We are passing through grave times. We have to learn from the mistakes of the past. At the same time, the unending crisis of imperialism shows us that they too have no answers. We have to advance, learning from the mistakes of the past, towards peoples democracy and socialism all over the continent Workers of all countries unite!
