International Criminal Court (ICC) witness number 536 is lady by the name Grace Nyakero Githuta who used to live in Eldoret Township near the ill-fated Kiambaa PAG church. According to our preliminary investigations, her testimony at the ICC is exactly the one given by Githuta (PW 4) when she testified in a case in Nakuru and implicated Stephen Kiprotich Leting (chamalans) — one of the four suspects — in the burning the Kenya Assemblies of God church on January 1, 2008, four days after Kenyans voted in the disputed Presidential Elections. The case was later dismissed by Nakuru High Court after the judge poked holes on Githuta’s credibility saying she presented false testimony before the court. The judge even threatened to arrest her for perjury. Nyakero is said to have escaped from the country in mid 2009 where she was promised millions by ICC officials to testify on the cases facing Deputy President William Ruto and his co- accused, Joshua Sang.
