International Scholarships for Master of Integrated Water Management at the University of Queensland The University of Queensland (UQ) invites international students to apply for Global Water Partnership-International Water Centre (GWP-IWC) and International Water Centre (IWC) scholarships to study the Master of Integrated Water Management in 2015. The course is designed for high caliber candidates who have the ability to create and implement integrated solutions to global and local water challenges. Scholarships 1. Up to two (2) GWP-IWC scholarships for female candidates from select countries. 2. Up to two (2) IWC scholarships for individuals around the globe with no gender restriction. The fellows for GWP-ICP receive AU$79,311 that covers tuition fees + overseas student health cover + living expenses + student visa. Fellows for IWC receive AU$50,776 that covers tuition fees + overseas student health cover. Eligibility Criteria: -GWP-IWC scholarships are available for female candidates in line with GWP’s gender strategy. The applicants must be the citizen of one of the 85 countries (Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Botswana, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Egypt, El Salvador, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Honduras, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Latvia, Lesotho, Lithuania, Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Moldova, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Republic of the Congo, Romania, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, The Gambia, Togo, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe) where GWP has a Country Water Partnership. -IWC scholarship is available to individuals from around the globe (except Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen) regardless of nationality, gender. -Applicants must have completed undergraduate degree in a related field of study from an internationally-recognized institution. -Applicants must have at least two years of professional experience (paid work or volunteering experience) relevant to the program following completion of an undergraduate degree. -Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency including minimum English test scores.
