International Volunteers Day!! myPolice on Dec 5, 2014 @ 8:00am December 5 – International Volunteers Day Can we please take a moment to think of our wonderful members of the Community who unselfishly give their precious time for free to assist Police and the greater Community to make our homes, streets and towns a safer and happier place to live. Thankyou to the Neighbourhood watch (NHW) volunteer members who tirelessly keep the groups running to benefit the community in their local areas, please show them some support by joining the groups and assisting, it’s a great way to meet your neighbours and protect what you love! For enquiries please email [email protected] Gympie is also very fortunate to have three lovely Volunteers in Policing ladies (VIPS) who work together with me to make a great Crime Prevention Team. I have them traipsing all over the town as well as Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach, Imbil, Goomeri, Kilkivan, Amamoor and Kandanga areas doing displays, presentation and letter box drops, rain, hail or shine and you know what? there is never a word of complaint, they take everything in their stride and with enthusiasm.
