Internet access is limited to the large towns or large organizations with their own direct satellite link for communications. In rural areas, facilities like telecommunications and internet cannot be provided until the proper electrical infrastructure has been implemented. This means that only a portion of the educated citizens in the main towns and foreign residents have access to the internet in South Sudan.
