Internet photo blogs are excited about a TEDx Talk given by noted headshot photographer Peter Hurley and psychologist Anna Rowley, who, notes ISO 1200, have developed a way for people to overcome their fear of appearing in front of cameras. But the implications of their work—they call the fusion of their two disciplines “psyphotology”—goes much further: Their hope, explains PetaPixel, is to show people how to gain self-acceptance rather than focusing on criticism. Fstoppers adds that Hurley is a master at instilling confidence in subjects: “He made his clients FEEL like the best version of themselves,” declares the website.
