Interns & Collaborators in Documentary Filmmaking, Hyderabad We are a small group of independent filmmakers making documentary and short films in Hyderabad. At the moment we are in the process of expanding our team to accelerate our content output as our subjects are centered around Andhra Pradesh state bifurcation which is to happen in the next few months. Currently we are working on three large scale documentary projects: A satire on the political state of affairs of present day Andhra Pradesh looking through the aesthetics of drama in Telugu films and rhetoric in news media. This will be a series of short satirical films and a feature length documentary film. A feature length biographical film on Kaloji Narayana Rao, much loved and admired poet, freedom fighter and political activist of Telangana. This project is already in progress. A feature length documentary film on student movement of Telangana – tracing the aspirations in a socio-economic context from 1969 to 2014 as the state forms. We have collaborations from filmmakers like B.Narsing Rao and Ajit Naag and support from Chitralekha Studios Pvt. Ltd., which made one of the landmark Indian films of all time, Maa Bhoomi, based on the Telangana Rebellion in Hyderabad state. Internships As an intern you will be involved in research, drafting proposals, coordination during shoots, logging footage, supervising post-production process and keeping accounts. So, it will be a great opportunity for film and media school pass outs keen on research and want to become independent filmmakers in the future. However we are not looking for any specific background & experience. This is not a paid position initially. Remuneration will come along after proven performance and sincerity. Sincere and passionate young filmmakers are welcome to apply. Collaborations As collaborators you could be cameramen, editors, scriptwriters, musicians, graphic artists and research associates willing to be a part of the project. These positions will be paid based on the project specific budget availability and individual credibility. People with new ideas of exploring documentary or short film narratives are welcome to brainstorm with us. All the positions are based in Hyderabad and all the above mentioned films are independently being produced with support from doners and collaborations from like-minded media professionals.
