Intersteller - My Review watched Interstellar first time in imax 70mm. A continuous 3 hours film with out a break. I am not a big fan of Nolan but like his innovative fictional thinking. No doubt the Movie is a visual masterpiece. Like his earlier movies, Nolan has once again proved, how big a movie can be n how big one can think a movie can be or a thought can be. There were some shots,which made audience go crazy. Do not go into the theatre expecting an action packed thriller. This one is not for action fans. At times, movie go highly sentimental. I recommend this movie to all the Sci-Fi fans out there, make sure you go in group of sci-fi nuts n keep shouting for every tiny wonderful thing.....Do not go with the hype..Go, sit back and enjoy. Thumbs up for - - Thought. One of the original plot I hv ever seen. It took me almost 3 hours to analyze/process the plot and give a final picture of what I understood. That too after going thrh a through discussion with Dharani and reading Wikipedia story. That is out of box thinking. Take a bow Nolan. - 70MM screen at times for few shots. Actually I-max,Hyderabad didnt show every scene in 70MM. It was shuffling to normal and again to the 70MM for the first 2 hours. There after it comes with absolute gripping screen play with 70MM. last one hour is the worth of the every minute. - Performances. Every one did their best. - Back ground Score. Goes superb with the scenes. Actually BGM made the movie bigger. - Cinematography. Last one hour of the movie is breathtaking n epic. Aww - :( :( - Some scenes of killing one scientist, initial sentimental scenes, drama for the first 2 hours doesnt make u feel good n convince with the story narration. May be that would be required to introduce the plot but I felt wasted a lot time. May be I m not that great fan of Sci-Fi movies i might hv felt that way. - Some bits are too unbelievable. Even science didnt hv clue to such scenes. Especially time traveling and contacting to the present. Time traveling is good and watching future from present is definitely a great idea. But the way of communicating to the future doesnt make sense at all. I didnt convinced at all. (You may ask me to ignore. But a sci fi movie shd convince me right? ) :) - Most people including me have no idea what the 4th or 5th dimension is like, or what it would be like to go through a wormhole or a black hole. After the movie i tried understanding on time bending concept. Edo wang doo peru laa ah okkati inkaa ardam kaaledhu :/ Verdict - It asks more questions than it explores. While it fills in for the missing answers, it wasnt as intellectually satisfying as I hoped. I spent an hour discussing the thoughtful components with a friend. I still didnt hv clue on the message of the movie. But did we need to? It was, as I said, also a thrill ride. The adventurous climax was a little less than terrifyingly dramatic; So go for it and watch it in 70MM. My friends suggested to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). May be you should also after watching this movie. Rating - 3.5/5 :)
