Interviewed with the Dean of this campus for 2 hours today. They hired me as an adjunct at level 4--the highest since I have 25+ consecutive semesters teaching exp. Will be teaching a course beginning Aug 25. Not a history course but rather a 3 credit how to be successful in college This is the new Monroe campus of Northampton College located about 10 miles from my house. Got the grand tour and is this place ever wired for technology. Notice the solar panels which Im told accounts for 90% of electricity grid . Taught here back in 2002. All the buildings areI brand new. The Dean informed me hes working on his doctorate and I offered to read his dissertation and provide constructive criticisms. He is also passing my name to the departmental heads of the main campus in Bethlehem for several possible history offerings in Spring. So much for retirement. My classroom had smart boards and hookups for my laptop. The college sits up on a hill with a panoramic view of Poconos. Orientation next week.
