Into the Woods is my favorite musical. I WANT this movie to be good. Three things Im thinking: 1. 2nd time Johnny Depp is doing a Steven Sondheim musical. Whodathunk. 2. Knowing and having read about some really significant changes that have been made plot-wise, I wonder if it will maintain the integrity of its original darkness; I sure hope so. 3. From the snippets in this trailer, the cast doesnt sound half bad (I will ALWAYS love Emily Blunt) and it looks really pretty. Into the Woods is SO near and dear to my heart for so many reasons; I really am hoping that this is good, but I remain firmly skeptical. My two cents for today. 😝
