Intricate and beautiful, No, No, Non Si Speri is the work of Italian composer Giacomo Carissimi who became known as a master of the early Baroque period, pioneering classical forms we now take for granted like the oratorio. Described as austere and prone to melancholy, you can hear some of that influence in this piece. This is a recording from Maddys Graduation recital on May 30, 2014.
