Introducing Honey Bee Mite. This young lady was trapped the same day Nymph joined us. I told the property owner Id TNR her, but he hoped she could be socialized. The beauty was stressed out and flipped everything she could the first night. After her spay the next day, she calmed down. By that evening she purred. I carefully inspected her fur under the woods lamp and didnt find any lesions. I successfully dewormed her, then trimmed her claws. Then, yes, I lime-sulfur dipped her. Once I cleaned and disinfected the Mighty Mite room and dipped the boys, I introduced Honey Bee to that room. I am guessing that Aster and Honey Bee are siblings. Funny that the other boys accept Honey Bee much more readily than Aster does. Clearly, I am not putting this girl back out. The winter weather is here. While she is old enough to survive a rough Minnesota winter, Honey Bee deserves a warm, safe, loving home. BTW, I had a hard time holding the smartphone steady thanks to Vitis repeatedly headbutting my hand. He thought petting him made much more sense than holding some strange little device in the air.
