Introducing Irish Air - Very funny Although its a joke we hope it doesnt give the government any ideas. Its bad enough having to pay for water but a tax on fresh air would surely put the country into open revolt. In the sketch, Gary Tierney introduces the public to the governments latest cash-grabbing scheme, -Irish Air. He explains how the company will be monitoring and taxing the individual consumption of air. His colleague then provides some handy tips on how to reduce your consumption which include avoid jogging and any other physical activities, stop laughing and never blow out candles on a birthday cake. We can breathe a sigh of relief that this is only a skit -for now at least.
