Introducing Kassia, this weeks featured dog of the WSEN 92.1 SAVE A LIFE and ADOPT campaign. I am sure getting tired of waiting for my family to show up and take me home. The folks here are nice enough, but I am more than ready to be a best friend to a human of my very own. My journey has not been an easy one but they tell me that is what makes me so special and when I do fall in love with my family it will be with my whole heart. My dog mom was killed when I was very little by a coyote. It was terrifying. I lost one of my puppy siblings as well, but my brother and I survived and said goodbye to each other when we each got adopted. I loved my new life until one day they drove me back to the shelter and walked away. I was sure they would come back for me, but they never did. The shelter in Texas was very crowded with so many new dogs and puppies arriving every day. We never talked about it, but we knew that for some of us there would be no place in the world - that no one would take us home. The longer I stayed, the less hope I had. Then one day my whole life changed. Hope was alive and well in my world again. I was traveling north through Love on Wheels where my new life waited. Everyone I traveled with has found their families. I am being as patient as I can and while I wait I am learning a bunch of stuff, like not chasing bikes and sitting when I want something. I walk every day, but I would rather run. I play well with everyone unless it is a cat. I dont care for them much. I am up for any adventure and want to experience the full joys of life. I am still young, just over a year old. I think I am a Collie mix. I hope you can help me find my way home.
