Introducing The 2014 Special iSTEAMS Conference Workshop On Contemporary Classroom Teaching Using Digital Skills (D-SKILLS Workshop @ABUAD) Greetings and very warm compliments to you. On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 2014 International Conference on Science, Technology, Education, Arts, Management and Social Sciences ( 2014 STEAMS Research Nexus Conference) holding at the Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria (ABUAD) in May, 2014 you are invited to the Special Conference Workshop dedicated to Middle, High and Secondary School Teachers titled : Contemporary Classroom Teaching Using Digital Skills (D- SkillsWorkshop @ABUAD). This workshop is a reflection of the iSTEAMS Research Nexus Conference Organizer’s determination to promote educational development activities through timely and relevant contributions to initiatives and productive activities that can assist in teaching and learning at the secondary school level. The D- Skills’ Workshop @ABUAD will incorporate presentations, demos, talks, panels and hands-on training to create a dynamic orientation and disposition towards the use of computers and the application of Information & Communication Technology tools such as social networks, educational games and mobile applications to aid the teaching and learning of other subjects. The workshop will also provide insight into the acquisition of contemporary pedagogy and other teaching relevant to the information age. The D-Skills Workshop will run in parallel with the iSTEAMS Conference is scheduled to hold at the Alfa Belgore Conference Centre, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria between May 30 th – 31 st, 2014. Participants are expected to pay a Registration Fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10000) which also admits the Teaching Workshop participant to all iSTEAMS Research Nexus Conference events. We offer a 25% discounted rates for registering groups of at least 4 participants attending the workshop from the same school/college.
