Introducing our friend Holly Wissler… We are excited to announce that Holly Wissler will be joining us on each of our upcoming Machu Picchu & the Sacred Valley Expeditions. Holly Wissler is a PHD ethnomusicologist and adventure guide that has led expeditions in the Andes Mountains for more than thirty years. She is wholeheartedly dedicated to preserving the ancient traditions of the mountain communities of Peru and has produced two documentaries highlighting the musical traditions of the Q’eros Quechua group (also known as the last Inca). After leading a tour of the Inca ruins at Ollantaytambo, Holly will join the group at a local chichería for a private lecture regarding Andean music and culture. Holly and select members of the Q’eros Quechua community will then treat guests to a live Andean musical performance while visitors drink a fresh brew of chicha and play sapo with the locals.
