Introduction Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever is a severe tropical zoonosis, often fatal to humans. Since the beginning of the 2014 epidemic in Western Africa (Liberia, Guinea-Conakry, Sierra Leone) there have been 18 601 confirmed cases, of which 6 914 fatal outcomes (WHO, 18.12.14). In Sierra Leone, 138 health care workers have been infected, with 106 deceased so far (WHO, reported by Reuters, 6.12.14).
