Introduction and copulation went without issue each time. female dig for a day or two, intro the male and usually see copulations within a few days. Copulations averaged two weeks. Egg laying followed first confirmed copulation on average by about 30-35 days. have large/deep heated nest areas of sand/dirt/mulch and leaf litter, and they dig and lay usually in the center of the area, close to my temp probe (I have a second female that has been bred to the same males and she is showing signs of laying this week). Incubation time for this first clutch is 185 days to first pip. set up half of the clutch in a custom made SIMS and the other half in vermiculite. Same incubator at 85 degrees F. The SIMS clutch dented, pipped and hatched first. Almost all of the SIMS clutch is out. 1 of the substrate incubated clutch has pipped. The remaining eggs are slowly denting.
