Inventory Controller Fourways R10 000 – R15 000 dependent on experience Be responsible for enhancing the brand image of both the products and the store, and positively impacting on the customer experience for this top player in the Furniture Industry. You will be responsible for the control and flow of merchandise and ensure accuracy of stock counts, receiving, capturing and processing stock. This position is not about heavy lifting but more about the administration of stock control. Your work will ensure that products are easily accessible, constantly available and in good condition. You will follow a proactive approach to identify possible inventory shortages and rectifying errors in a timely manner. Duties will include: • Completing daily stock counts of furniture and home ware to ensure stock is captured accurately. • Identifying possible shortages and ensuring shrinkage is kept to the minimum. • Ensure all inventory and stock management systems (Syspro) are maintained accurately • Update any necessary changes when capturing stock. • Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy, verifying that quantities match relevant paperwork. • Ensuring that products are priced and labelled correctly. • Ensure any price changes are done accurately and in required timeframe. • Double checking all received stock from the Warehouses to ensure it is labelled correctly. • Identify and check promotional products are priced and labelled correctly. • Enter price changes on the system. • Any movement of stock must be communicated and captured accordingly. • Checking movement of stock and rectifying any errors. • Communicating stock requests to all stores. Advising on Supply Chain Transfers (SCT’s) and when stock will leave the showroom. • Complete documentation of stock leaving and entering the showroom. • Communicating discrepancies and following up in order to process correct paperwork. • Contacting clients with regards to any repairs that come into store. • Liaising with Customer care of stock being sent to DC. Criteria • Matric and relevant of 2 years of experience in similar environment. • Working knowledge of inventory control practices • Be focussed attention to detail. • Good communication skills • Be highly organised, a problem-solver, have a hands on attitude and be able to work under pressure. • Knowledge and experience in Syspro, MS Office/ Word/ Excel • Be a South African Citizen CVs to [email protected]
