Investigation Report - Burnt Mill Road, Atco, NJ Date of investigation: August 30, 2014 Time: 11:00 pm to 12:30 am The Galloway Township Paranormal Society decided to look into the claims of a haunting on Burnt Mill Road in Atco, NJ. Legend is that a little boy was chasing his ball out into the road and was struck by a car and killed. The car and its occupants sped off and were never found. While our investigation into the history that the little boy will appear at midnight turned up no credible evidence, we thought wed take a shot and see what we could find. Present on this investigation were Deborah, Harry and Robin from GTPS along with Mike and Joan from Cape Atlantic Paranormal Research Society. Conditions were clear with a temperature of 76 degrees. Equipment utilized consisted of K2s, digital cameras, infrared video digital video system, Gopro 3+, digital voice recorders. Our approach to documenting this purported haunt was to follow the information available online and set up our position 3 telephone poles from the house with the fenced in yard near the end of the paved portion of Burnt Mill Road. Our video equipment was trained on the portion of the road in the area of the driveway of the house. Legend has it that at midnight if you honk your car horn 3 times and flash your headlight 3 times the little boy will appear running into the roadway chasing his ball. Following these guidelines we performed all steps as instructed. A review of all data captured by our equipment did not reveal anything of interest. In summary, although there are numerous claims of sightings of the little boy, we were unable to document his existence. It is interesting to note that the various claims regarding this haunting provide no evidence as to its existence. It is interesting to note that a vehicle with several people arrived just minutes prior to midnight to find the spirit of the little boy. While not paranormal investigators, they were interested in our methods and equipment. They were very respectful of our efforts and did not contaminate our evidence. Attached is a short video clip of Deborah and Robin heading towards the driveway just after we performed the horn honk / light flash routine.
