Investigations Meditation, Reflections, Discussion Tonight: Friday, Dec. 12th, 7:00—9:00 PFoD Center, 1404 SE 25th Ave. Tonights Theme: How to use forgiveness in our practice Hello Friends, Last Sunday, as part of our last Sanghata meeting of the year with the monastics at the Pacific Hermitage, I participated in a wonderful, heart opening forgiveness practice. I thought it would be interesting and beneficial to investigate this form of practice tonight. Often forgiveness practice is done at the beginning of meditation to soften and open the heart. It is commonly taught along with Metta practice. Sometimes, as I mentioned above, it is done at the end of a period of time or the end of a retreat. I will introduce specific phrasing that you may consider using in your practice. Here are some questions we will explore: How can we use forgiveness in our daily practice? What are the benefits of forgiveness? Why is it difficult to forgive sometimes? I hope to see you tonight? Scott
