Irans enchanting Roodkhan Castle The medieval Roodkhan Castle is located southwest of the city of Fooman in Irans Gilan Province in the heart of the forest. To reach this castle people walk a 3 km distance on foot, then climb around 2000 steps. Made from brick and stone, the castle covers 50,000 square meters and is 900 meters above sea level. It is built on two dips of a mount with a total of 65 towers surrounding it , while the walls run 1500 meters in length.
